OpsRamp supports only gateways with one of the following firmware versions installed:
Relative Version
Description
N
Latest or currently published version.
N-1
Previously published version before the current, N, version.
N-2
Two versions before the current, N, version.
When new firmware is published, older versions automatically move out of support. Further, a gateway running unsupported firmware, such as N-3 and older, cannot connect to OpsRamp.
New functionality, improvements, bugs, and security updates are always rolled out for the current N version, exclusively. Versions N-1 and N-2, therefore, do not include the latest functionality and security updates. It is strongly recommended that you upgrade to the latest version N soon after version N is published.
Agent support policy
OpsRamp supports only agents with one of the following versions installed:
Relative Version
Description
N
Latest or currently published version.
N-1
Previously published version before the current, N, version.
N-2
Two versions before the current, N, version.
When a new agent version is published, older versions automatically move out of support. Further, an agent running an unsupported version, such as N-3 and older, cannot connect to OpsRamp.
New functionality, improvements, bugs, and security updates are always rolled out for the current N version, exclusively. Versions N-1 and N-2, therefore, do not include the latest functionality and security updates. It is strongly recommended that you upgrade to the latest version N soon after version N is published.
Gateway hypervisor platforms
The following hypervisors platforms are supported for deploying the gateway:
VMWare ESXi
Citrix XenServer
Microsoft Hyper-V
Nutanix AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor)
KVM
Network SNMP-monitored devices
OpsRamp
supports SNMP-based monitoring for 3000+ device models across network, storage, and server categories. To get a list of supported device types, browse the app to get detailed information about the supported device:
Log in and go to Setup > Resources > SNMP Device Type Definitions.
Click the Advanced search dropdown to select from the available resources:
Filter the search results by entering the family or specific resource you want to view and click Search.
For example, in the Make field, enter Brocade to display all supported Brocade resources:
Agentless monitoring applications
The following applications can be monitored by the gateway:
Note: The support for Windows Agent on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012 will be deprecated as of October 2024.

Receive Alert Notification if the Antivirus definition is out-of-date
To receive the alert notification, users need to select the “Alert Required” flag during antivirus job creation or update an existing job. When the antivirus alert flag is configured, the agent checks the antivirus status every day and send the following alerts:
If the antivirus definitions are more than two days old, the agent will send a Critical alert.
If the antivirus definitions are updated, the agent will send a Heal alert.
Note
This functionality will be available from Agent version 16.0.0.

Web browsers
OpsRamp supports the current and previous major releases of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Each time a new version is released, support for that version starts and support for the third most recent version ends.
Example:
Microsoft Edge released version 44 and OpsRamp supports versions 44 and 42, because Microsoft Edge does not have version 43 and there is no support for Version 41.
