Can I use OpsRamp gateways with our tracing solution?

Yes. Trace proxy can be behind our gateway and can send traces via gateway to Opsramp. This can be configured in the configuration file during deployment.

Can users use agents when it comes to tracing? Like many agents sending trace data to one trace proxy?

No. Agents will not act as collectors. In fact, we have completely removed the ability of the agent to collect tracing data. Any customer app instrumented for traces should be configured to send traces to trace proxy endpoint only. Users can simply follow our “Traces getting started page” instructions to start with.
