Introduction

The NPM Overview Dashboard Provides a comprehensive view of usage metrics, collector health, collector flow rate. This dashboard aggregates critical insights derived from NetFlow data, showcasing key performance indicators that IT administrators and network engineers rely on to monitor and optimize network health.

Once the NPM collector is installed, the NPM overview is added to your Dashboard 2.0, enabling you to directly view the NetFlow data collected by OpsRamp within the dashboard.

To access the NPM overview dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Dashboards > Dashboard.

  2. From Dashboard 2.0, click the hamburger menu.
    The MY DASHBOARDS slide-out screen is displayed.

  3. Click NPM Overview under OPSRAMP CURATED DASHBOARDS section.

    The NPM Overview page is displayed.

    The NPM overview dashboard displays the following information:

    NetFlow Usage

    Displays a summary of NetFlow data usage over a specified period, showing total data processed and average data usage rates.

    NetFlow Data Usage Graph

    Graphical representation of NetFlow data usage trends over time, facilitating analysis of peaks and troughs.

    Collector Status

    Indicates the operational status (up or down) of NetFlow collectors deployed across the network.

    Collector Flow Rate

    Real-time metrics showing the rate of NetFlow’s collected by each active collector.

    Collector Flows Rejected

    Number of NetFlow’s rejected due to non-whitelisted devices or other violations.

Additional actions

  • Select data based on a specific calendar date range.

  • Show and hide legends for easier data visualization.

  • Use the three-dot icon to:

  • Copy: Allows you to copy the tile to other dashboards for easy sharing and customization.

  • View JSON: You can copy the JSON configuration of the tile for customization purposes.
