Tenancy
Tenancy refers to the ability to create independent management domains called tenants. Each tenant is a logical grouping of a set of managed resources.
Tenancy Model
The tenancy model consists of a three level hierarchy: Service Provider, Partner, and Client. Most features function in the scope of a partner or client, allowing users to apply different management policies to different clients.
Tenancy partitions can be used to manage an IT environment. For each partition, users can:
- Create different management policies
- Have a tenant with its own users, authentication, and authorization (RBAC)
- Allow service providers to see a summary of specific tenant clients with no direct access to the data
