Install an agent with administrator privileges

  1. Go to OpsRamp console, click on Setup > Downloads > Agents.
  2. Download and save the EXE file from the Windows widget.
  3. Make sure that you verify the SHA-256 checksum of the downloaded file.
  4. Right click on the file and Run as administrator.
  5. Silent installation process will start automatically.
  6. The server appears on the OpsRamp Infrastructure page within a few seconds.
  7. You do not need to reboot your system after installation.

View the installation logs in the C:\Windows\Temp\OpsRampAgentInstallation.log.

For security reasons, the following email restrictions apply:

- A client can send an email to a maximum of 10 destination email addresses at one time, with each address comma-separated. More than 10 destination addresses are not permitted. Start a new email to send to additional destinations.
- A client can send a maximum of two emails per day to the same destination email address. Additional emails to the same address within a 24-hour interval are not permitted.
  1. Go to OpsRamp console, click on Setup > Downloads > Agents.
  2. Click Email Download URL.
  3. Enter the destination email address and click Send. The download link expires in 24 hours.
  4. Within 24 hours at the remote location, use the email link to download the agent and follow the download instructions.
  5. Open the downloaded agent .exe file at the remote location and follow the above agent installation steps.
