AWS Elemental MediaConvert is a service that formats and compresses offline video content for delivery to televisions or connected devices. High-quality video transcoding makes it possible to create on-demand video assets for virtually any device.

A job does the work of transcoding a media file. When creating a job, specify the information that MediaConvert requires to do the transcoding. For example, you specify information such as:

  • Which files to transcode.
  • What to name the transcoded files.
  • Where to save the files.
  • Which advanced features to apply.

Use the AWS public cloud integration to discover and collect metrics against the AWS service.
