Risks, Limitations and Assumptions
- The integration can manage critical/recovery failure alerts for the following two scenarios when the user activates App Failure Notifications in the settings:
- Connectivity Exception
- Authentication Exceptionon
- Dell Avamar uses the provided IpAddress/hostname, Credentials for SSH communications.
- Dell Avamar will send duplicate/repeat failure alert notification for every 6 hours.
- Dell Avamar cannot control monitoring pause/resume actions based on above alerts
- Metrics can be used to monitor Dell Avamar resources and can generate alerts based on the threshold values.
- Dell Avamar’s Event/Alert polling will be started only if user enables Event/Alert Polling in configuration.
- Possible and default values of Event/Alert Severity Filter configuration property are WARNING, ERROR .
- We have given sample mappings to map Dell Avamar with OpsRamp Severities as part of Event/Alert Severity Mapping configuration filed. User can modify them as per their use-case at any point of time from app configuration page. Possible OpsRamp Severities are Critical, Warning, Ok, Info.
- No support of showing activity log.
- The Template Applied Time will only be displayed if the collector profile (Classic and NextGen Gateway) is version 18.1.0 or higher.
- Full discovery support requires gateway version 15.0.0 or above.
- This application supports both Classic Gateway and NextGen Gateway.
